The War Against Truth and God
Have The Reprobates Seized Power?
The Bible says that God is angry with those who suppress the truth through their wicked and godless behavior (Rom. 1:18). Since the beginning of humanity, there have always been groups of people among us who completely reject the truth to fashion and follow their own corrupt affections, desires, philosophies, and agendas. Their depraved minds are prejudiced against the truth and they positively hate it. They deny the truth and exalt falsehoods. Their social and political behavior is anti-god and anti-truth in the worst possible ways imaginable.
In the darkness of this godless environment, not everyone is equally immoral or corrupt. Some are clearly worse than others having moved beyond redemption to become irredeemable reprobates. These reprobates are the blind guides of darkness through which demonic forces channel their seductive war against the truth and lead the multitudes astray with deceptive lies straight from the pit of hell. Their demonic power is now unashamedly on public display throughout the world. They dominate the political arena, our governments, the educational system, the broadcast media, the internet, and print media. They are cunning, crafty, skillful liars who openly twist any truth into a lie. Romans 1:30 says, “They invent ways of doing evil.” These reprobates are deceiving the unenlightened masses and peddling the evil doctrines of a godless world. The lost souls searching for truth are drowning in a sea of reprobate lies. The truth that came to set them free and provide life everlasting is publicly condemned and mocked by these reprobates. They have twisted the truth into a lie and call a lie the truth.
While Christ died for all and salvation is God’s free gift to anyone who turns to Christ in true repentance, the heart and mind of a reprobate hate God and truth to the point that they will never turn to God in true repentance. They have rejected the living God and His truth with vile hatred toward the Lord. They are blatantly engaged in a war against truth and God. The will never surrender or turn to Christ. They are irredeemable reprobates and their destiny awaits in a place called hell.
In the book of Hebrews, we find reprobates much like the ones described in Romans 1:28-32. Both groups knew the Lord and turned away to live disgraceful godless lives from which it ultimately became impossible to ever desire to turn back to the Lord. They became reprobates and objects of God’s wrath. They became God-haters and truth haters (Romans 1:30). Consider this:
It is impossible for those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, who have shared in the Holy Spirit, 5 who have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the coming age 6 and who have fallen away, to be brought back to repentance. To their loss they are crucifying the Son of God all over again and subjecting him to public disgrace. (Hebrews 6:4-6)
Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done. 29 They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, 30 slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; 31 they have no understanding, no fidelity, no love, no mercy. 32 Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them. (Romans 1:28-32)
While it is God’s absolute desire that all mankind repent and turn to Christ (2 Peter 3:9) it is clear that many will be deceived by Satan’s demonic powers and reprobate leaders who openly wage war against God and God’s truth. Satan has placed these wicked ministers of darkness in strategic and influential positions to attack God and truth. God is angry every day with these unrepented, God-hating reprobates who are a conduit for Satans schemes. It is only for God’s purpose and to accomplish His will in these last days that God is allowing the day of the reprobate to dominate. But know this, the days of evil will be unexpectedly interrupted by the sound of a heavenly trumpet and the glorious appearance of our Lord and Savior. In an instant, the dead in Christ will be raised and we who are alive will be caught up to be with the Lord forever (1 Thes. 4:16-18).
Considering the urgency of the moment, I urge all who are reading this to examine themselves in the light of God’s truth. Are you truly a born-again child of God, are or you following the reprobates that are waging war against God and truth? To which side have you pledged your allegiance? There is no middle ground. Turn to Christ today, now!
If you are not in Christ today, I pray that God’s Holy Spirit speaks to your heart and causes you to turn to Him today! In Jesus name, Amen.
How to Turn to God
Perhaps at this very moment, you have realized that you need the Lord in your life. Maybe you drifted away or need to be been born again? If so, you can stop right now and begin talking to God. Ask Him to forgive you for being a sinner and the life you have been living outside of His love. Surrender your life to Him, unconditionally. Call Him Lord and make Him Lord of every thought, attitude, and action. You can say, Lord Jesus, forgive me for all my sins and come into my heart and take full control of my life. I am your child from this day forward. Change my heart and mind to be Christ-like in every way. I confess Jesus as my Lord and Savior forever.
