Navigating The Age of Deception

Navigating The Age of Deception

It is by Revelation, Not Reason, That Deception is Overcome

The deceptive reasoning of human wisdom has established a formidable stronghold in the minds of many Americans. This deception is rooted in human philosophy that is void of God. Its diabolical nature rejects all levels of human logic. It is a lie masquerading as truth, death dressed up as life. It rejects God and despises His truth. It is outraged by God’s word, values, views, morals, and those who dare to speak His name. We are living in the age of deception and those unaware of this deception are highly vulnerable and likely captive to its control.

This diabolical deception celebrates shameful and sinful behavior as though it were virtuous or praiseworthy. It does not believe in sin or sin’s consequences. It panders to one’s sinful desires and sensual nature. The Bible warns not to be taken captive by worldly philosophies, empty deceit, or human traditions that are unchristlike.

See to it that no one takes you captive by philosophy and empty deceit, according to human tradition, according to the elemental spirits of the world, and not according to Christ. (Col. 2:8.)

America needs more than a timid gospel sermon to defeat the deceptive powers of this present darkness. Too many preachers, teaches, and believers have succumbed to easy believism that lacks the bold and fervent anointing of God’s Holy Spirit. Natural or human reasoning has no power to pierce the dark veil of spiritual deception. There must be a fearless and unapologetic proclamation of spiritual truth to produce a revelation of Christ. Only a personal revelation of Jesus Christ as the Son of God and Savior of the world will free those bound by this deception. We are not marketing religion, but rescuing those held captive by the darkness of deception.

Those of us once taken captive by this diabolical deception were blind and deaf to God’s truth. We were empty and dead in the deceit of human wisdom. The Bible, church, and God had little impact on our lifestyles, behavior, and choices. Our beliefs and philosophical views were modeled after the ever-changing social climate of a godless world. Our hearts were full of this world and all its pleasures, but not God. We eagerly followed the trending social patterns while unaware of the destructive consequences of those choices. We wanted nothing to do with God, excluding a major crisis erupting in our lives. However, one day, when God’s revelation light appeared in our darkest deception we were forever changed, never to be the same again.

To overcome the power of this deception there must be a clear and definitive revelation of Jesus Christ that illuminates one’s mind and heart to the point they simply cannot walk away from God any longer. At that moment in His presence His grace, mercy, and love seem completely irresistible. Our sins are laid bare and the unworthiness of our lives is made known. We are undeserving of His love and at the same time, He is bidding us come, open your heart, and come to me. It is a moment, an event, that I shall never forget. Life will never be the same again. We have met the Savior and surrendered our lives to Him. He has delivered us from the dominion of darkness and we are free.

Nothing less than a clear revelation of Jesus Christ as both Savior and Lord will free us from the empty deception of this life.

How to Turn to God

Perhaps at this very moment, you have realized that you need the Lord in your life. Maybe you drifted away or need to be been born again? If so, you can stop right now and begin talking to God. Ask Him to forgive you for being a sinner and the life you have been living outside of His love. Surrender your life to Him, unconditionally. Call Him Lord and make Him Lord of every thought, attitude, and action. You can say, Lord Jesus, forgive me for all my sins and come into my heart and take full control of my life. I am your child from this day forward. Change my heart and mind to be Christ-like in every way. I confess Jesus as my Lord and Savior forever.
